A wave of major European corporations will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City this September to look for Vietnamese partners in the global supply chain.
Numerous companies, distributors, and retail chains from Europe have confirmed they will visit Ho Chi Minh City this September to explore partnerships with Vietnamese suppliers in key sectors such as wooden furniture, textiles and garments, processed food, footwear, and supporting industries.

IKEA, the world’s leading home furnishing retailer, continues to reinforce its strategy of building a sustainable supply ecosystem in Vietnam for the wood and furniture sector.
The event, Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 (VIS 2025), will be held from 4–6 September in Ho Chi Minh City. It is expected to attract around 300 buying delegations from 60 countries, arrange over 3,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings, and host more than 400 Vietnamese enterprises across 500 booths, showcasing over 12,000 products in four main sectors. The program will also feature factory and raw material site tours, along with free in-depth consulting services.
The Nordic business bloc is among the most active in expanding their supply networks in Vietnam. IKEA maintains its commitment to sustainable sourcing in wood and furniture, while H&M, the world’s largest fast-fashion brand, has also scheduled meetings in Ho Chi Minh City to expand its global supply chain.
In addition, Nordic food companies such as East Asia Food AB, CT Food, Achaulien Export Import AB, GFI Stockholm AB, and JHB will come to Vietnam seeking suppliers of agricultural produce and processed foods.
From Germany, several enterprises are pursuing cooperation opportunities with Vietnam. Hamburg and SoBuy, e-commerce brands specializing in furniture, are expanding their supply sources for household and office products. Achilles Seibert GmbH, with over 70 years of experience, is seeking suppliers for specialized bolts, nuts, and screws. Wünsche Food is looking for canned goods, instant noodles, and processed agricultural products, requiring strict compliance with EU food safety and sustainability regulations.
From the UK, Longdan — the largest Asian food retail chain in the country — is aiming to expand its range from groceries to frozen foods. KNP Global seeks high-quality wooden furniture and handicrafts ready for retail distribution in Europe.
Alongside Western Europe, Eastern European countries are emerging as new growth markets for Vietnamese goods. Ukraine, in the midst of post-war reconstruction, presents strong demand for processed foods, cooking oil, dried noodles, rice noodles, nuts, spices, footwear, and garments. Technical standards and traceability requirements there are considered well within Vietnam’s production capabilities.
